I actually finished the song a few days ago, but only now got around to writing the message. I usually announce the start of a new song on Facebook as soon as I finish the first part of the song. But this time it was a little different. I experimented with my rhythms and sounds, but was never sure if it could become a new song. Suddenly the first part was finished and the result had slightly weirder harmonies than normal (at least for my taste). And right after it was clear to me that the first part was finished, I already had an idea for the second part.
But after the initial enthusiasm, concerns quickly arose. The second part was again super harmonious and had this feeling like you were ascending to the sky, but it was just too “beautiful”. And by "too beautiful" I mean that it lacked any edges, just beautiful and nothing else. The strange elements of the first part had completely disappeared and were replaced by clear harmony. Finally I started to redo the second part from the scratch, but orienting myself more towards the first part and thus achieving unity. The result was still harmonious, but just less boring
