The song actually started a few days ago, but it's only been clear since yesterday that it's going to be great. In general, the creation of the last songs is different from the songs before. While it used to take some days to start a song that I thought was good, and then I started working on it straight away, lately I've quickly come up with a song that I think sucks, and it takes a few days to finish it to change it so, that it is going to be great
With this song, I started again with a typical EBM bass line and experimented with my drum sounds. When I finished, I realized that the song was almost samba-like in a way, which was definitely not my intention . The harmonies and the resulting vocal melody also sounded positive and pop-like, which I didn't like either.
So, step by step, I started changing the details that bothered me. I made the "samba" drum cold and metallic, turned the harmonies from major to minor, and slowed down the tempo. Eventually I was able to turn the relatively fast and positive song into a kind of slower, melancholic ballad with lots of drums. But how the song will develop is still completely unclear. I'm certainly very satisfied with the song now.
