Although I finished the first part pretty quickly, it took longer than usual to finish the song completely. The reason for this was that this song starts very "viciously", and any attempts to make a second part made it too "nice" It took a few attempts to compose a second part that actually make it more melodic, but still maintains the mood of the first part to some extent. As so often, I already played with the idea of finishing this song with only 1 part, but as in the cases before I did not give up and found a 2 part that makes the song complete.
Nerd-trigger-warning: Anyone who is not interested in any technical details should stop reading after the first paragraph Another reason for the delay in completing the song was that my sound-finding process was still not fully completed. I've even made quite fundamental changes to my software synth. The reason for this was the realization that all these years I had hardly paid attention to the phenomenon of phase shifts in sound creation. I was so focused on frequency modulation and ring modulation that I never realized how different two different waves sound when they have different phases. I'm not talking about effects devices such as flangers or phases, but rather the core-sound generation in the oscillators. The bass sound I'll be using in the future will be made with this updated software synth i constructed during this song.
